The purpose of this study is to determine the level of self-confidence, gender, industry, educational status, referee time, and referee category of referees in sports such as badminton, basketball, handball, and volleyball. It is examined according to the variables of marital status and age. During 2021–2022, 296 referees who worked in Ankara province volunteered to participate in the study. The study used relational screening patterns from quantitative research methods. In the study, participants were presented with the “Confidence Scale” developed by the Personal Information Form, Tasdelen (2002), “Decision Styles Scale (KVSO),” and Ackin (2007). The independent samples t-test for the applied analysis is performed for the normal distribution of the data and for the dual comparisons, and one-sided ANOVA test was performed to compare more than two groups. The significance level in the study was set at .05. It was found that sports referees differ in their decision-making styles according to gender (dependent and abstinent), marital status (offender), age (dependent), and industry (dependent) and that there was no difference in the variability of educational situation. When looking at the confidence scale, it was found that there is a difference in the educational situation (in the sum of external and scale) and that there is no statistical difference in gender, marital status, and age. This indicates that there is a negative correlation between decision-making style and confidence level among salon jurors.
Salon Sporları Hakemlerinin Karar Verme ve Özgüven Düzeylerinin İncelenmesi
Bu çalışmanın amacı; badminton, basketbol, hentbol ve voleybol gibi salon sporlarında görev yapan hakemlerin karar verme ve öz güven düzeylerinin cinsiyet, branş, eğitim durumu, hakemlik süresi, hakemlik kategorisi, medeni durum ve yaş değişkenlerine göre incelenmesidir. Araştırmaya 2021–2022 yılında Ankara ilinde görev yapan 296 hakem gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Araştırmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada, katılımcılara Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Taşdelen (2002)’in uyarladığı “Karar Verme Stilleri Ölçeği (KVSÖ)” ve Akın (2007) tarafından geliştirilen “Özgüven Ölçeği” uygulanmıştır. Uygulanan analizler verilerin normal dağıldığını ve ikili karşılaştırmalar için bağımsız örneklem t-testi, ikiden fazla grupların karşılaştırılması için tek yönlü ANOVA testi yapılmıştır. Araştırmada anlamlılık düzeyi 0,05 olarak belirlenmiştir. Salon sporları hakemlerinin karar verme stillerinde cinsiyet(bağımlı ve kaçınmacı), medeni durumu(kaçınmacı), yaş(bağımlı) ve branş(bağımlı) göre farklılık olduğu, eğitim durumu değişkenine göre farklılık olmadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Özgüven ölçeğine bakıldığı zaman eğitim durumunda(dışsal ve ölçek toplamında) farklılık olduğu, cinsiyet, medeni durum ve yaşa göre istatistiksel olarak farklılık olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak salon hakemlerinin karar verme stilleri ve özgüven düzeyleri arasında negatif yönde anlamlı olmayan bir ilişki olduğu görülmektedir.
